Miami Vice SUCKS! Don't watch it! stupid producer/director... wasted 134 mins of my life. Give it back to me... *tears* If it wasn't socially unacceptable, I would have waved my fits at the screen in frustration at the stupid plot (if you can call it that), the jerky shots, and the lousy hairstyles. And screamed. At one point I had to get up and take a long tour of the toilet to get all the tension out. I was like a pressure-cooker - any longer, I swear I would have let out a long shrill sound that starts at the of the throat and builds up into scream that rivals the greatest volcanic eruptions known on earth.
The movie may have been based on a 1980s film, but why in the world must I sit through a grainy, low-quality picture? Why in the world must I hear crap 80s music? I'm so glad I was too young to remember the 80s. The music sucks, the man all have greasy, dirty hair, and moustaches (hy, li-ray.. you know how I hate that). And the man all seem to have a problem with articulation. I couldn't hear a word, and I know for sure I wasn't the only one.
I saw a couple of people walk out of the theatre. I wanted to that so badly... but my friends were still hanging around. I guess those who stayed thought the movie would make sense anytime soon.. it'll end soon..

argh. I was reading some
reviews on the movie.. the very thing that some of them liked was the very thing I hated.
"Routine in some respects, but in others, it delivers everything expected of a summer blockbuster. And it's gorgeous."
-- Boo Allen
DENTON RECORD CHRONICLE (TX)
Roughly translated, he meant:" The movie was bad, bad, and bad. The only good parts were the gun scenes were you finally see the plot move faster than a snail, the jerky camera shots make aesthetic sense, and you actually get to hear something clearly."
"Even though you can't figure out what anyone is saying, the story is so straightforward and mindless that you gradually figure out what's going on, and the style is so fluid -- and the Caribbean visuals so evocative -- that you're carried right along."
haha.. precisely, the story is so MINDLESS. The job of the director is to tell a story, everything else is secondary. I'll rather watch a documentary.
The only honest people with sense were those who wrote the following:
"Has a lot to look at but little to actually watch. The plot is a standard 'cops go undercover to expose drug ring' story, and the characters have no personalities."
-- Jeffrey Chen
REELTALK MOVIE REVIEWS
"Just stalling as it desperately tries to string together the length of three commercial-free episodes that would have been cancelled by the first interruption of #102."
-- Erik Childress
