First off, my condolences to Von. I hope you're feeling better. I wanted to hug you, but didn't know how.

"DES WAKE UP! LATE FOR WORK THEN HOW?"
You don't get it. I've been awake the whole night, and I'm still awake.
That is how I woke up on my first day of working life. When I arrived at work, only the cleaning lady was there. People drift in from 9.30 - 10 am, and the boss arrives even later. Everyone's friendly, the work place doesn't have crazy cold air blasters, and the people are nice. I already know another girl in the firm. Linda, someone from the ANU days, she's teaching me the ropes.
I like it except for the fact that time is strangely warped over in carrotsconsulting. We had lunch (on the house, a treat from my director for us new workers ^___^) at 2.30pm, and when I left work at 7.10pm EVERYONE, the interns, the MD himself was still there. I only left because Linda assured me I could go.
Oh, and my MD lives in a fish tank office. He can see almost everyone. No pressure though. In fact, I find it fun to peek into his office. It's like a screensaver; a window into a park.
In short, the Job's ok and looking good, but if I can get a decent lunch and dinner at the right time, I'll be happier. If not.. expect to see a famished person knocking at your door next week.
